You will have the ability to assist people with but not limited to:
- Personal care
- Community engagement
- Respite in home or out of home
- Personal development
- Behavior Support
Ideally you will have:
- Experience in assisting individuals with varying abilities
- Proven ability to work positively and support people with varying abilities to achieve their goals
- Experience with behavior support and intervention
- Ability to follow and implement individual support plans / care plans
- Demonstrated ability to implement a person-centered approach
- Excellent documentation skills particularly case reports, progress summaries and incident reporting
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, overnights and public holidays
- Excellent personal and communication skills
- Reliable, proactive and confident working with people
- Enjoy working in a small team environment as well as independently
- Experience working with youth and/or mental health is considered highly desirable
To be successful you will need:
- Current or willing to obtain a CPR & First Aid Certification
- A NDIS worker screening clearance (Yellow Card) and a Blue Card
- Drivers License
- Up to date with COVID Vaccination requirements
You are required to complete the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission Worker Orientation Module. The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.
