Bowen Flexi Care will be hosting a series of free National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) sessions on 29-30 July 2021. NDIS officers from Townsville will be presenting all the latest news and information targeted to the needs of our local communities (Bowen, Collinsville, Proserpine and Cannonvale / Airlie Beach).
There will be three specific sessions over the two days-
- Community organisations and entrepreneurs afternoon on 29 July
- Health professionals presentation and networking evening on 29 July
- Participant and family morning on 30 July
Bowen Flexi Care General Manager Faileen James said each of the sessions would be targeted to a specific audience however you are welcome to attend one or all sessions that are of interest.
“We are looking forward to hosting these information sessions as a way to help inform and engage our wider community which in turn increases choice, independence, flexibility and opportunities. Not only for people with disabilities but also businesses looking to expand their service offering.” Ms James said.
Visiting local communities such as Bowen and running sessions in conjunction with established and respected service providers like Bowen Flexi Care is part of the NDIA’s commitment to increase community awareness and capacity building, and continuing to strengthen the provider market to ensure positive outcomes for participants, their families and carers, and the wider community.
